In the fashion world, Aztec prints have become the style du jour among the trendy and hip. Known for their daring color combinations with black outlines, strong shapes like triangles and circles and fabrics that became more luxurious as they went up the class line, Aztec imagery has become a dominant theme in fashion runways all around the world. In fact, it��s kind of amazing that Kanye hasn��t adapted it for the Yeezys considering their popularity at the moment.
Kicks inspired by Aztec prints are not a totally new concept; Nike Sportswear has actually used patterns influenced by the culture on classic silhouettes such as the Nike Blazer and the Nike Air Max 1. And it would not be a total surprise to see them go back to this aesthetic once again, considering the myriad of possibilities they can play around with to find the right look.

In the past year, we have already seen the fruits of what Nike Sportswear��s Gentrey Humprhey calls the ��dimensionalizing�� of the Foams, with the release of the ��Galaxy�� earlier in the year, the successful campaign behind the ��Paranorman�� colorway and the upcoming ��Fighter Jet�� that uses camouflage quite well. It takes a real tastemaker like Nike to really set the standard for others to follow and it would not be outside of the realm of possibility to see even more unconventional looks come to the Foamposite.
